A full covered outdoor room on the water, with a stone bar top running the length of the pavilion and seating for ten.
Occasionally a slab comes through the yard that decides the kitchen for you. This quartzite did. The owners saw it standing in the warehouse and the rest of the specification, the dark cabinetry, the timber, the black pendants, was worked backwards from it.
The ends are mitred so the pattern folds over the corner and continues down to the floor, which takes careful layout and a clean cut. It is the detail that makes a waterfall island look like stone rather than a box with a lid.
